So, the fact is that I work from 7:30am - 4pm. It really isn't that bad, a 7.5 hour workday (hour for lunch) and a 37.5 hr work week. The problem, however, is that if I'm going to workout, it needs to be BEFORE work. At the end of the day, I just don't feel like it and cannot motivate myself to go. Unless there's a REALLY GOOD class, and even then? Doubtful.
Now, most gyms do not have classes before 6am. The rec center near my house does have a M/W/F 5:30am spin class, but even with the class ending at 6:15 it can be a struggle to get to work on time (thanks traffic!). So now here I am testing out a gym closer to work, but their earliest class is the aforementioned 6am. And all 6am classes there are 1 hour.
As a result of the 6am-7am class, I end up leaving early. Which means no stretching. Which SUCKS. I know I'm short-changing myself here, as stretching is pretty important. But what is a girl to do? I need time to clean up, put myself together and drive to work. Then there are those days like today, where class runs late. WTH!?!??!
I know that I could change my work schedule back to 8:30a-5p, but let's face it. Who wants that? It is FANTASTIC getting out of work earlier in the day. But is it worth the sacrifice of stretching?
I'll have to let you know tomorrow. When the pain sets in.
