101 things to do in 1001 days!

So I saw this on a couple of friends pages and thought it was a great idea. First, let me say that 1001 days is equivalent to about 2 years and 9 months. Second, It is said (by researchers or magazines or Oprah or someone important - VIP) that if you write your goals down you have a much greater chance (% unknown) of accomplishing your goals than from someone who makes goals but doesn't write them down. I believe the VIP also said the list must be looked at regularly (daily/weekly) to increase the chance of success even more.

So here is my list. I will also list items that I know I cannot achieve within 1001 days but I still want to put them down in writing.

1. Loose my goal 50 lbs. by 3/2/12
2. Get pregnant
3. Have a healthy pregnancy & birth
4. Buy a new home
5. Travel to Paris
6. Travel to Neuschwanstein (Cinderella's Castle) in Germany
7. Travel to Italy (Rome, Venice, Florance, Milan, Verona, or any combination of these cities)
8. Visit the Vatican
9. Travel to Santorini, Greece
10. Travel to London
11. Travel to Amsterdam and expierence a "cafe"
12. Travel to Ireland & kiss the Blarney Stone
13. Travel to Monte Carlo, Monaco
14. Travel to Switzerland
15. Travel to Austria and Sing Edelweiss
16. Step Foot in Poland
17. Visit NYC with my Hubby
18. Visit Vegas with my Hubby
19. Finish My Wedding Scrapbook
20. Finish my High School T-Shirt Quilt
21. Complete my Husband's College T-Shirt Quilt
22. Brush & FLOSS every day
23. Run a 5K
24. Donate my hair to "Locks of Love"
25. Wear a string bikini in public w/o shame
26. Finish the "Wicked" book series
27. Read all the Charlene Harris books I own
28. Get a bikini wax
29. Try a new recipe every week
30. Go to at least 1 STL Cardinals game every season
31. Find the perfect dog for our family
32. Get all the "keepsake" items I still have at my parent's house
33. Clean through & Organize my "keepsake" items
34. Learn about Wine & Wine Tasting
35. Build a Wood Structure w/o professional help (i.e. a deck, shed, dog house, whatever)
36. Plant in my yard & keep alive peonies & poppies
37. Send Family & Friends greeting cards for special occasions (b-days, anniversaries, etc.) to arrive on or before the special day.
38. Write a yearly Family newsletter for our Christmas Cards
39. Host a Coterie (local women's group) event at my home
40. Buy a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes
41. Volunteer with the USO
42. Take photos at ALL special occasions in my life
43. Loose another 50 lbs to be at a healthy BMI by 1/2/14
44. Eat authentic Fish & Chips in London
45. Get my Blood Pressure checked
46. Get my Cholesterol levels checked
47. Get my Blood Sugar levels checked
48. Have Bi-Annual dental cleanings & checks
49. Make a perfect chocolate souffle
50. Collect all Disney Animated Movies (That are released to DVD/Blue-Ray in the next 1001 days)
51. Sing Kareoke in public
52. Have clear arm muscle definition
53. Remove Soda from my diet completely
54. Install a new ceiling fan in the guest bedroom
55. Learn to make delicious sushi at home
56. Make the Christmas Village Quilt designed by the Quilt Sampler in Nixa, MO
57. Celebrate New Years at a party with dinner, dancing, and balloon drop
58. Kiss my Hubby at the top level of the Eifle Tower
59. Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity
60. Learn how to Ballroom Dance
61. Finish the Handmade Felt Santa Ornaments
62. Call my Sister once a week
63. Call my Mother once a week

81. Travel to 48 continental state (30 down, 18 left)
82. Attend my Leaders School Reunion every 2 years
83. Organize a 50th Birthday Party for both my parents
84. Attend a Pirates Festival
85. Go to the STL Shakespeare Festival Every Summer
86. Got to one Muny performance each Summer
87. See "Wicked" when it comes to STL
88. Fit into my purple starburst Express dress
89. See a Biolumenescense waterway
90. Run the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
91. Learn more about type 2 diabetes prevention
92. Learn something new everyday
93. Set up our home office
94. Give out more compliments to people
95. Spread the Spark to family & friends
96. Eat a crosaint in Paris
97. Eat an Italian pizza in Italy
98. Finish Reading "Eat, Pray, Love"
99. Never reward myself with food
100. Become a lighter, more efficient suitcase packer
101. ALWAYS apply sun block when I'm out in the sun!

Longer Term Goals:
1. Teach my kids to swim
2. Teach my kids to play an instrument
3. Teach my kids to be active and the importance of exercise
4. Set a good example of healthy eating
5. Take my kids to Disney World
6. Travel to Alaska
7. Travel to Australia & New Zealand
8. Travel to Hawaii
9. Snorkel in the Barrier Reef

    emoticon I am going to create a list of my own. You have some great goals.
    We lived in Italy for 4 1/2 years (my husband is retired Air Force). I don't know if you know this, but you can get anything on your pizza over there, even squid! I didn't try squid though. Just in case you didn't know, pepperoni over there is actually bell peppers. Salami is kind of what we would think of as pepperoni here.
    I look forward to hearing about your achievements!

    Whew!! I'm exhausted just reading your list, but you have inspired me to write a list of my own. Keep us posted on your progress. I'm sure you'll do great!!
