Too many carbs yesterday, back on track today

Well, yesterday was a nice get together at my BFF's house. It had been planned for weeks, well before I knew I would be on South Beach, so I planned to do the best I could and get right back on track.

Well, we went to sonic for dinner before the party (like pampered chef) and I had the grilled chicken salad and fat free italian dressing (delicious!). But I did have some of the appetizers at the party later, some wheat thins with cream cheese dip. But there were also plenty of vegetables which were great. The two planned "cheats" were the margarita and 2 cupcakes I had. I wondered how I would react.

So, this morning, I had some cravings. I decided to not worry about anything except no carbs today. I felt better almost immediately. Good omelette for breakfast and some ricotta cheese with sweetner to curb the need for carbs.

I feel like I am starting to gain some control and although it is not perfect, phase 1 is like a "cleanse" for me and my diabetes. I will be sure to thank my doctor!
