So, it's back to the real world now after a fabulous (spa) trip to LA. First, there was the gorgeous Fairmont Miramar Hotel where we had a (semi)PRIVATE BUNGALOW:
There was even a sauna in the bathroom! Anyway, it was a great hotel, great location (Santa Monica, anyone?) and there were even turtles & fishes!
The turtles were out during breakfast one morning (when I snapped the pic). So cute!
Then of course there was the spa... all about the wonderfullness of massages. And a facial. And a (painful) yoga class.
From there, we then moved on to the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. Night & Day compared to the Fairmont - which was all zen, resortiness. The SLS? Sleek, modern, dark. Tinted mirrors everywhere.
There was a lot of wandering around Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and parts of Beverly Hills (no Rodeo) and downtown LA. Even went to the art museum, LACMA. Incredible museum, btw. Very spread out, green, and just welcoming. Not really stuffy.
So, there are the basics. Vacation is fabulous, and I highly recommend it and cannot wait for my next one. It will not be NEARLY as fab, but that's ok. Now I just need to get my eating back on track. It's surprising what damage even a few days of vacation-dieting can do!
PS- Best sushi ever: Koi. Spicy crunchy yellow tail tar-tar? AMAZING. Just sayin'...
