but, our trip to Colorado was so wonderful it is hard for me to put it into words! It was everything I had dreamed of and then some! Visiting family in Aurora was a nice blessing. Their tap water - yes straight out of the faucet was fresher than any bottled water I have ever tasted! What a treat!! The slopes at Winter Park Resort were fabulous! Sometimes I felt like I was the only person on the mountain! Snow - Oh MY! It snowed some every day - night before getting there it snowed 4 inches, our first day in the mountains it snowed 7 inches! Beautiful. Then by the third day there were a few drifting snow clouds - but mostly just bright blue skies and snow peaked mountains as far as you could see!! Wow! It was hard to ski for wanting to stop and take pictures or just bask in the beauty of it all! Breathtaking! The only downside was my husband tried to ski one day and his leg was not strong enough (he has issues from a bloodclot that formed over a year ago, and still hasn't totally gone away). So, he is starting to exercise and try to strenghten his legs so we can go back next year and this time he can ski with me! Hoping to go for our 25th wedding anniversary - that would be fabulous!! I have posted a few pictures here, the first one on my Sparkpage is in our Condo just before we left. Another is from one of the lower slopes of the view - oh my! My husband did get to enjoy our 2 hour Snow Mobile ride up, up, up into the mountains till we were a few hundred feet from the Continental Divide. Oh what fun!!
I have seen the Great Rockies now! I have been within a few hundred feed of the Continental Divide. I have seen the beautiful Smokey Mountains. I have seen the Great Redwoods! I have seen the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf Oceans! I can truly say Our God Is Great! He has created such beauty that leaves me breathless and feeling very small! And I haven't even seen the half of it :)
