Renovating: Me & My House

Well, it's a pretty gray day here in Niagara Falls. I haven't ventured outside yet so I don't know what it feels like yet. How's everyone feeling after losing an hour? I'm feeling like I need to do something...as opposed to what I am doing now (nothing:).

Hubby and I have been renovating our attic...we have a large American Craftsman Four square house with a walk up attic. We started this project back in September...new roof, new windows, insulation, rewiring, drywall...well yesterday it was sanding day. We both spent 5 hours up there 11am - 4pm just to get it done...or at least mostly done.

I weighed myself in the morning...and then again after sanding and showering...I lost three pounds!! haha Mind you it was all sweat! I gained it all back and my weight is the same this morning.

According to Spark people painting for 5 hours will burn over 1700 calories...well sanding is a whole lot more vigorous than painting...so I had to have busted into to some fat storage somewhere yesterday...I even did 30 minutes of cardio earlier in the day to burn another 300 calories! I'm sure it will all pay off eventually, even if I don't see it immediately!
