Struggling with sugar cravings

Oh my goodness. my sugar cravings are getting the best of me today. I've tried everything from reading, exercising, eating peanut butter and crackers. Nothing seems to help. I thought if I didn't deprive my self I could eat a little sweets and be alright. I ate 5 trefoils cookies (1) serving and a small raspberry icee around 2:15pm today. Tonight at 6pm there I was craving sugar again. If you have any suggestions please feel free to post it here.
Its 8:45pm now, so I guess I have survived after all. Its time for me to rest for tonight. Good night everyone.

    I can so relate - it seems like when I eat sugar, I want more sugar - it is kind of a slippery slope for me.

    I've been setting a "sugar quota" for myself each day in the morning, and just letting myself know I can have a certain amount that seems to help some.

    It also seems that reflecting back over the years, if I eat too much sugar, I become desensitized to it and then I can consume very large amounts and keep wanting more.
