Blogging before internet goes to a crawl

Thursday, March 03, 2011

I haven't blogged this week because my usual routine is to blog at the end of the day. Well, Mon and Tues my husband was working on upgrading the computer's hard drive, plus we have had problems with our internet grinding almost to a halt in the evenings.
So, I decided since the daycare kids are gone and I really don't have time to get to the gym before my husband comes home for dinner, I am going to blog. emoticon

This has been a productive week as far as getting some of my projects done for my granddaughters. I have finished the toddler bed quilt, the Pooh Growth Chart cross stitch and the baby sampler cross stitch. (I will post pictures later - have to take them first emoticon)

I lost 1.25 pounds at TOPS this week. We also had officer elections. I have been a leader for at least 4-5 years. I stepped down this year because I wanted at least a year off. They tried to convince me to stay on as a leader or take another position, but I know I needed a break.

I have done my workouts daily.

Weekly:
A) Go to Balance Fitness at least 3 times a week emoticon
B) Do at least 5 days of cardio emoticon; emoticon
C) 3 days of Strength training emoticon; emoticon

Daily: 3/3
A) Practice portion control emoticon
B) Drink at least 8 cups of water emoticon
C) Blog emoticon
D) Log food/exercise emoticon
E) Exercise for at least 10 min before I get on SparkPeople emoticon
F) High protein/low carb emoticon

I stepped down from most of my volunteer positions this year and I am enjoying the break. Life has been really busy, and the time I spent volunteering enabled me to make some great lifetime friends and be a part of a community, but there comes a time when new fresh blood is needed. Change is good!

Enjoy your "extra" time. Get selfish and save it all for you!

Can't wait to see the crafts!

GOOD JOB!!! Your commitment is really inspiring! And it's showing on the scale!!! emoticon I've had a good scale week as well - and a GREAT exercise week! (imagine that!)

Good for YOU stepping down when you know you need to! I have a really hard time stepping down once I've taken something on. (or maybe I have a hard time not being in control... hmmmm...) Either way... I could use to work on that!

Don't you hate how "improvements" seem to slow things down. It will get better, give it time.

Congrats on the weight loss, you are doing great. I agree with taking some time off, we all need that from time to time.
