Disappointed

Sunday, February 20, 2011

I feel like all the work that I've done for the past 30 days has been undone. I had my WW weigh-in yesterday and I gained 0.8 lbs. I worked so hard last week at the Y. But I did however eat out for Valentine's day. That one bad day trickled into each day of the following week. My WW leader said never overestimate how many calories a workout can burn. Meaning, if you eat that candy bar, it's not going to disappear overnight.
This week I'm going to make better choices. However, I'm such an emotional eater. This setback has me craving carbs constantly.
It's going to be a long, hard day. emoticon

ElleElle is right. That 0.8 lbs might not even be "real" weight but just a fluctuation. You could easily weigh in today and find it gone. So don't let one weigh-in on one day throw you off!

And besides... the weight is an easy turn-around... What's longer lasting is all the benefit you've done for your body with the month of hard work. That is something you can't quantify by a number on the scale - it will show in how you feel.

realistically 0.8 pounds is easy to turn around, and the hard work you put in isn't for nothing, because your muscles, well being and health will all have improved!

your weight 'gain' could be explained by any number of factors.. weight can fluctuate by 2 lbs over the day, and on top of that there are things like time of the day, time of the month..

just remember that if you keep at it consistently, even if you make a mistake here and there, you will get there eventually.
