In lieu of actual content...The ABCs of Euphrates!

Thursday, February 10, 2011

A - Age: 47

B - Bed size: Double (just fine for us, does NOT sleep three though)

C - Chore you hate: pretty much all of them.

D - Dog's name: Hagrid (also called "The Dorse" or "Wuffles" on occasion - he lives with the exes)

E - Essential start your day item: Coffee - elixir of the gods. Though I tend to take a little coffee with my creamer - current creamer of choice is the new "Cinnabon" by International Delight - as my mate said when he tasted it "It's like it's having sex with my tongue!"

F - Favorite color: Green, followed closely by purple

G - Gold or Silver: Jewelry? I *prefer* gold, but most of what I like generally only comes in silver

H - Height: 5' 3"

I - Instruments you play(ed): piano, flute, lap dulcimer.

J - Job title: 3rd Shift Systems Operations Support Analyst

K - Kid(s): Oh good lords...this is a long answer, you sure you want it? Okay, get comfy...
bio kids: Daughter 26 (placed for adoption, we now keep in contact via facebook), son age 24, daughter age 22, son age 20 (all 3 of the bio kids I parented are red-heads - thus I tend to refer to them by the nickname 'Yote gave them when he met them "The Red Headed Power of Three" - thus RHPO3).
heart kids: (aka, the children my now ex-husband had with the two "wives" we had during our marriage and his subsequent kids with the one he legally married after I left) son age 12, son age 11, daughter age 8, son age 6, daughter age 2, son age 5 months). Pics of them on the last blog actually. :)

L - Living arrangements: Just me and my mate right now (and very happily so, we live together incredibly well) and our 3 cats, in a one bedroom apartment

M - Mom's name: Rose

N - Nicknames: Euphrates is *truly* a nickname (my legal name is Lisa, along with 95% of the female population born in 1963). A lot of my friends shorten it to "Eu" (as in "Hey Eu!" LOL)

O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: You realize normal birth doesn't usually include an overnight stay anymore right? Thanks to insurance that won't pay for it. THAT said, other than the 4 c-sections (grrrrrrr), I had my tonsils out at age 5, and an infection that hospitalized me about 20 years ago.

P - Pet Peeve: Passive aggressiveness in ANY form, but particularly when someone drops "side comments" under their breath as they walk away (the ex-girlfriend was famous for that....ugh).

Q - Quote from a movie:
There are so many...but these are the two I have on my sparkpage:

Granny Wendy: So Peter, your adventures are over.
Peter Banning: Oh, no. To live... to live would be an awfully big adventure.
- Final lines from the movie "Hook"
From the movie "Parenthood" 1989:
[Gil has been complaining about his complicated life; Grandma wanders into the room]
Grandma: You know, when I was nineteen, Grandpa took me on a roller coaster.
Gil: Oh?
Grandma: Up, down, up, down. Oh, what a ride!
Gil: [sarcastically] What a great story.
Grandma: I always wanted to go again. You know, it was just so interesting to me that a ride could make me so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled all together! Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it.

R - Right or left handed: Right (and spawned TWO lefties...go figure)

S - Siblings: One younger sister.

T - Time you wake up: on work days, 7pm. The rest of the week? Its utterly random. :)

U- Underwear: Um, not at the moment, no. >:>

V - Vegetable you dislike: Not big on beets or brussels sprouts (but the mate likes them, so I've been experimenting)

W - Ways you run late: Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to leave when the mate is off work on Saturday nights? *sighs*

X - X-rays you've had: None that I know of. (Scratch that - I've had x-rays at the dentist, NO idea how many.) Ultrasounds - between the kids and several bouts of kidney stones, too many.

Y - Yummy food you make: It varies - I've been experimenting with healthy recipes a bunch lately. But I think my mate's favorite is still the pork tenderloins in dijon sauce. He asks for it for his birthday. :)

Z- zzzzzzzzzzz! Common Euphrates quote "What is this 'sleep' thing I keep hearing about?"
