Beginning stats

Weight 280 lbs.
Previous running experience: NONE!

Oh boy, lets hope this gets better. LOL! I'm gonna enjoy the pain. =)

P.S. that day's walk was .33 of a mile not 1.3, it sounded like 1.3, but it wasnt. it was .33, that how much of a beginner I was.

Hardest step is starting I think, so you`ve done it! Just running a block is great, like couch 2 5k running program the first week intervals are only 1 min and that`s all you need to build on! Let your body rest and then get back out there, it does get easier as your body strengthens!

You got this girl!! Think of something you accomplished that surprised you or that you didn't think you could do. Something you did before. Now when you want to give up think of whatever you did and go a little further :) I think of a mountain I summited and I think of the time I beat my husband on a ski trip :) You absolutely, positively, can do this. You can, you can, you will, you will, you are, you are. Way to go on your first day!!! emoticon emoticon

Congratulations!!! You're awesome. I'm with you about runners - they are crazy. I'm a beginnner runner too and I would recommend a book by John Stanton here is the website about him - http://www.runningroom.com/hm/insid
    e.php?id=2570

His book that I recommend is: Running Start to Finish, I took their clinic Learn to Run - we started out runninng 30sec then walk for 1 min - did this for 20min, worked up to run 10min (non stop) with a 1 min walk break. I didn't believe that would happen when I first started. I know you can do the same. emoticon

you're doing great sweetie! A quote that is helping me to get through these tough workouts is "Nothing Worth Having Was Ever Achieved Without Effort!" Just when I feel like I can't go any longer, and I feel like throwing my hands in the air and giving up, I think about this quote and keep going full force! It's gonna be hard, yes. But the harder we work at it, the more we appreciate our great success!

We Can Do This. YOU Can Do This!

I wish you the best of luck as you continue down this road to becoming a healthier and happier you! You're doing great!
