I started my new lifestyle change a little over a month ago. I am so proud of myself for the little changes that I have made. I am feeling strong, encouraged, excited, and full of anticipation for what good gifts God is sending my way next. I can truly say "I believe In Me", without hesitation. Over the past month I know that I have lost five pounds because I reluctantly stepped on the scale. I thought to myself, that's a good start. Now knowing the relationship I have with the scale, I decided to get rid of it permanently, since I knew after loosing the first five I would become addicted to getting on it more than necessary. Not only did I get rid of it, I also removed my weight lost ticker from my Spark Page. A better way for me to determine my progress would be the way I feel and look. When I feel good about myself it shows in the way I look and carry myself. I will only step on the scale when I go for my doctor's appointment every three months. That is enough for me. I will follow the path that is best for me, and appreciate every moment of my journey!
Good for you! I am exactly the same way with the scale. I have a friend who always asks me how much I have lost, and when I say "I don't know" she is appalled!! For me, the scale puts pressure on me, which I don't want or need. So, I just keep plugging along as you said with my little changes and enjoying the good feelings that come from that. 3444 days ago
