I weighed in at TOPS last night and maintained. I was so grateful. I wasn't sure want my body was going to do with the crazy, stressful week I just had. One thing that was good last week - I didn't turn to food when I felt frustrated, stressed or emotional.
After TOPS, I went and did a 40 minute cardio workout at the gym. I didn't do strength training, because I was hungry (didn't have supper before I weigh in) and it was 8:30. When I got home I had 3 phone calls to make, got some supper and sat down to watch The Biggest Loser. I just couldn't believe those twins threw the weight in with a 9+ lb gain. That was crazy! It was after 10:30 before it was over and I was too tired to blog.
I slept in a little this morning (no daycare kids). After breakfast I headed for the gym for another workout. This time I did cardio and worked on upper body strength. The cardio workout my trainer gave me is really pushing me. I had only been doing level one and she has upped it. I am sweating like crazy by the time I am done.
Today, as I was in the cool down on the elliptical, Dennis Jernigan's song "Mercy Me" started playing. The first line "I know I have let you down, so many times before, yet you come to me in mercy....just when I would have given up you go and mercy me", really expressed how I was feeling the last couple of days. I love how God just brings the right things at the right time. I am energized and ready to tackle this weight.
I contacted the personal trainer and signed up for 4 sessions today. It is funny how a year ago I would have told you no way would I be going to a gym or even a personal trainer and here I am doing both and excited about it.
