So, the last Birthday lunch is over....

My Sister and I have joined a birthday type club at Red Robin Hamburger place. We get our free Gormet Burger and Birthday Sunday. Today, before we went to celebrate her birthday today I went on line and checked out their burgers and nutritional value. OMGOODNESS! I about fell out in the floor! 1 burger could be over 1000 calories! WTH! Soooo, I shopped around creating me a burger that was the lesser of the evils and told myself I would only eat half! Half the burger, half the Birthday Sunday and none of the fries! Well, I ended up eating the half burger, half Sunday BUT I also ate half the fries! . emoticon So, I now sit here and tell myself I MUST get in some extra cardio today - well I did that by walking around the outdoor mall looking for a Birthday card before we even ate! It was 37 degrees and I forgot my coat and walked around at a brisk walk for 30 min - so that has to count for something!

One of my Teams had a challenge (a week ago - I'm just a little behind) to log all the food I eat at least 5 days a week. So, I started that yesterday. Decided as long as I am logging my food I might as well try to get in the habit of logging my exercise too - maybe that way I can get a better idea of why I am not losing weight! Well, logging the food alone has been quite an eye opener!! Just like checking out the nutritional value of the RR Burger did today - if I had not been dedicated to logging my food I would have probably pigged out and not even thought the calories were half what I got! Also, I am already thinking that I am not eating enough calories! I need to get more veggies and lean protein - I can see that after just one day! More good calories especially since I am working out on a regular basis! Thinking my body has been hanging on the the fat - scared I'm going to try and starve it or something! Well, just some random ramblings from me today......

    WTG on getting back to tracking. It is an eye-opener and, for me, it keeps me honest!

    Kudos to you for checking out the nutrition at RR before going! On the occasion of going to RR I ask for a wheat bun, without being buttered (did you know most places do that?), then I eat the burger with only half the bun. I still enjoy having the burger that way. Also, they will give you a salad in place of the fries if you ask. I know, I know, RR's fries are just so good! So, steal a couple from someone else's plate! haha OOPS, sorry I got off track with what I do..... I think you made real good decisions today with eating only half of it all and you did walk, in the cold, which must burn extra calories. Keep up the great tracking.

    I had that same exact reaction to the RR burgers AND a few of their salads (so much for being good!!)
    Made me very, very sad.
