Why I want to change

Monday, January 17, 2011

"The first step is to make a decision where you know exactly why you want to change. Your fitness goals are nothing without some reason you have for achieving them. Without that reason to keep you determined, you'll swerve off the road at the first Dairy Queen in sight." -- www.hussmanfitness.org/h

Such a difficult topic since there are so many competing reasons.

I want to feel less pain. The weight of excess pounds can not be helping me when it comes to my pain. (health)

I want to see photos of me without the urge to cry. I don't look like me anymore. I hate looking like someone else instead of myself. (vanity)

I don't want to end up with diabetes like my parents. (health)

I want to have the physical ability to defend myself or run so he can not continue to terrorize my life when he gets out of prison in 10 to 22 months. (fear/domestic violence)

I want to be hot. (vanity)

I want to be able to eat without depriving myself. (yummy)
