Well swelling is something that I have to deal with everyday in my legs and feet and hands. Yes I get the thing about some people suffer with retaining fluids and others just don't. My question is how do you prevent it, I have excluded anything with salt, I have tried different vitamins and other ways people have recommended and they work just not for long. I am looking for a permanent end to it. I had hoped losing weight was the answer but....I am not so sure now.

Sorry to hear about that. Make sure you watch out for sneaky sodium too...you may be surprised at the hidden sodium in processed foods and frozed or canned stuff too. Feel better!

Judy, I'm convinced that over time good nutrition solves a lot of problems. I agree, water is important; cutting back on sugar and salt as you can. Lots of veggies and TIME. Your exercise has to help too. That said, when you can, rest with your legs elevated for now and keep good shoes on when on your feet. How are the feet doing? Make sure there is no medical reason for this; I'm assuming you have discussed it with your Dr.

Keep drinking water..it helps to flush the retention from your body.

Not sure about a permenant solution,
May want to ask your Dr.
could be another reason for the rention. emoticon
