Today was my first routine colonoscopy. The prep yesterday and this morning really wasn't that bad. I was dreading the whole thing and everything went smoothly. I had one small polyp which the doctor removed and sent to the lab. I am not worried. I should get the results in about a week.
I got there at 9:55am and left at 11:15am. The nurse let me leave a little early because when she went out to the waiting room to get my husband, he was on the phone with my youngest daughter. She had just had an accident. She hit a patch of ice and slid off the road and hit a telephone pole. Praise the Lord, she wasn't hurt. There was a big snow drift that she also went into so there was minimal damage to the car. Just a couple of places where the bumper cracked.
I have felt fine most of the afternoon. Took an hour nap. I even went to TOPS and had a 2.5 lb loss! I do have a headache and my neck and shoulders are sore. I am heading for bed as soon as I am finished with this blog.
I also got the results of my mammogram today -- everything looks good.
Needless to say, I didn't exercise today or care that I ate 3 white macadamia nut cookies tonight after supper. I did stay within my calorie count though -- not eating breakfast sure helped and believe it or not I really wasn't that hungry when I got home, so I just had some yogurt for lunch.
1) Blog daily
2) Lose 5 lbs ...
3)Exercise daily for at least 20 min. ---- rest day
4) workout at least 3x's a week at gym -- didn't go today (once so far)
5) Strength Training 3x's a week -- no exercise today -- (2 x's so far)
6) Drink a min of 8 glasses of water ea day.
7) Follow a low-carb diet -- nope, but didn't care today
