The "S" Word

No, not that word...the one I am talking about it Submission! For me the word submission best describes the time when you know what to do, how to do it, and that it is time to do it...and finally you have agreed to allow the process to begin. It is stepping outside of your comfort zone. As ugly as we make the word, it really is not that bad especially when you are submitting to something that basically benefits you in the long run.
To submit only means to obey, comply, surrender, giving-in or assent. When you put it that way it is not necessarily new information that you have come across. It is timing...at this point you are going to surrender and act on what you know! Submission can apply to many things but in this case we are talking about eating pattern and physical exercise. Most of us are use to thinking about resisting when it comes to food, but if we submit to food as a source of energy and apply it only to fuel our body as we would gasoline in our automobile we would see how foolish it would be to "over-fuel". None of us would pour gasoline into our already full car...especially at today's fuel prices!
Also as it relates to exercise; if we pictured it as if we were avoiding a huge drop of fat being poured on us if we did not move out of the way...we would get moving quick! Submission to the process of eating and exercising right is a way of saying YES to a more rewarding life. True it does include surrending a certain amount of control but it has it benefits. I guess that brings us to the second "s" word.
