Cleaning out the clutter.... in my life... mind.... and body!!!

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

well I have came to a conclusion.... clutter does not suit me well.... I am one of those people who does not like to have company if my house is messy.... I do not like to cook in a messy kitchen.... I do not like to come home to a dirty house.... yet for some reason as my mood declined and the weight came on.... I stopped being as proactive on the clean house bit... not to say I enjoyed the mess.... it just became the norm... and one more thing for me to be down on myself about.... mind you most of my friends would not dubb my house in its current state as dirty or messy.... but in my mind it is hideous... embarrassing.... and downright shameful.... but I find it seems as though there is some direct correlation between the state of my house... and the state of my mind and being.... my mind is cluttered with the many things I should and should not do... I find I have insecurities and issues... that I never knew existed before... I have let my house go in ruins right along with letting my body go to ruins... my mind is a cluster of everything I was.... everything I am.... and everything I want to be..... I look back at the young... vibrant... confident... put together.... person I once was... and wonder... when did I stop.... what changed? WELL I am here to say... I DONT KNOW.... how I got to this point... in my life.... my mind.... my body... my home!!!! BUT one thing I do know..... for my sanity... my health... my happiness.... it ends NOW!!! Today I literally emptied two rooms of my house.... It was an amazing feeling to see such a change in a short period of time.... and every day from today forward... I vow to declutter something.... whether it is a room in my house... a corner of my mind... a pound of fat.... I am DETERMINED... and with determination all things can be accomplished.... i vow... to get healthy... happy... and clutter free in every aspect of my life!!! you are all welcome to join me!!! Stay posted for what I clean out next!!!

Great blog. You have the determination and the drive and congratulations for what you have already achieved! I can relate, I was there once..in an unhappy life, a miserable body and a messy house. It's like the outer mess was a reflection of the inner chaos. You are taking the right steps to change all this, and you can do it!!! Way to go!!

I can't stand clutter either! I clean my kitchen several times a day- I WILL NOT cook in a dirty kitchen!

Good luck de-cluttering your home AND your life!

It's funny, but I never feel as though my house is a mess. But as soon as I finish an episode of Hoarders, I'm scrubbing the floor paneling with toothbrushes and calling Stanley Steamers to clean my carpets. That show givves me the "skeevies", although I'm not sure if that's a word or not. lol

Hat's off to clean houses and weight loss, the perfect combination.

This is a good thing! When our surroundings are cluttered and disheveled we tend to let everything else exist in a similar state of disarray. I know this because it happened to me too! With everything I pitched/gave away/put away I felt more energized, more purposeful and more successful. My thinking was clear, my mind was open and my mood was lifted.

    Keep tossing!

    Press On!

Decluttering a room makes it seem brand new, doesn't it. And then you feel like you are a bit shinier too! You are so right, decluttering in any area of life leads to freedom for a shiny soul and a shiny mind and body. May your days of darkness be gone as you continue to straighten up your life. God's blessings to you!
