Once I got used to the soreness in my thighs, butt and arms, I headed to my aunts house in Huntington Beach. They live about 2 miles from the beach, and a few miles beyond that, is where my marathon starts. I wanted to start getting familiar with the course and thought I'd park at their place and get a taste of what I'm up against Feb 6th.
Let me tell ya, it went GREAT! There was so much people watching along the bike route. There were a few times that the people, dogs and bikes got in the way but no big deal! It was also really nice to have water fountains and bathrooms along the way. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out, perfect weather, and the waves were amazing to watch.
I ran it pretty slowly (15 miles in 3 hours 5 minutes) which I am okay with considering how sore I felt BEFORE hand. Plus, I'm just lookin to finish, nothin more.
After my run, my aunt and uncle were working out in their garage (full gym in there minus cardio machines) so I hung out in there while chuggin water. Then we came in and hung out for quite awhile. I just love being over there! Then, my aunt made me (decaf) latte with her new machine she got from my uncle for christmas..its SO COOL! loved it. Then we had roast beef sandwiches for dinner. Healthy considering they only buy the organic, no nitrate etc. type stuff.
I calculated everything out and i am WAY UNDER for the day, which isnt good. My leader told me that on my huge exercise days to not only eat my full days points (they say to do that every day or it will stall weight loss) but to also eat at LEAST half of my activity points. Well, I had calories from my fuels but I am going to have some laughing cow cheese and crackers and maybe something else. I AM starving (always am) so maybe ill also do a bowl of cereal.
Another dollar in the jar!!! Another healthy, happy day!
