A Sleepy Saturday

Saturday, January 08, 2011

Today has been a very quiet day. I spent most of it in bed still trying to get over being sick. Hopefully we are on the other side of this sickness at this point. Tomorrow I'm going to try and start exercising again. I've been so impatient to try out my new Zumba for Wii.

Tonight it's just me and the furry child as my son has gone to spend the night with friends. I guess I better get used to the solitude. Come August this will be my life moving forward as he goes off to college. It does take some getting used to as nice as it will be not having to run here and there every night.

Okay... so you have a significant life change on the horizon... so this is a GREAT time to start taking care of yourself and maybe start planting some seeds for things that can fill your life with happiness once your son has moved out of the nest.

Feel good about the fact that your son is going off to college next year. What an amazing blessing and one of the crowns of having been a good parent. Don't worry, just because he is going to college doesn't mean he doesn't still love and need you.... I'm 43 years old and my Dad is very ill. I didn't realize just how much I have counted on him all these years until now that I could potentially lose him. I'll be heading to Kansas to see him on the 18th. I think I need to let him know just how much he means to me...

~ thanks for this post today...
