    Good for you!!!

I have found that I do better with my food choices when I keep on top of my workout schedule. Not only does it help me remember that I don't want to ruin my efforts, but it helps me think about food as more of a fuel rather than activity.

Also...being religious with my nutrition tracker holds me accountable. I'll even plan and put in my dinner numbers in the morning. This way I know exactly where I am when I start to feel hungry and am in search of a snack throughout the day.

I'd say too that the biggest thing for me to stay on track is to have only healthy food choices in the fridge and cupboards. If those temptations aren't there, then I won't be into them!

My advice...you'll learn as you go. My guideline has been to choose fresh first and read nutrition labels before I buy.

    YOU CAN DO IT!!!

i think the key is not just low calorie foods, but low calorie, high nutrient dense foods. i tend to eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. nuts are a favorite snack of mine, too. i recommend looking through the other spark member's food trackers, that can help with ideas for meals and snacks. good luck!! you can do this!

I agree...journaling before you eat helps tremendously. I always plan my meals the night before. Feel free to check out my food journal, it may help! I do eat few extra calories though because I'm breastfeeding.

If you are having trouble with tempting foods, a good trick is to go in and track BEFORE you eat - sometimes seeing the number on something ahead of time is enough for me to either make the portion smaller, choose an alternative, or cut it out of my food-list altogether.
