Week Two and Finally Moved Into the 160!

First, I want to thank everyone that responded to my first Blog update last week. The support is so great here and I must start giving some of that back to others, too. It seems like there are so many places that I need to visit on the site everyday, and I've neglected a lot of them. Maybe I should add them to my personal goal list.
Now for the BIG news (drum roll...) - I LOST ANOTHER 1-1/2 POUNDS this week! New weight: 169.5 This is the first time that I've been under 170 in over five years.
And immediately the negative self-talk starts in. "You could have done even better if: you had exercised more; not overindulged in wine a couple of days; drank 8 glasses of water every single day, etc, etc."
I've just started reading "The Spark" this week, in fact I haven't even finished Chapter 1, and I have already learned to monitor for this negative talk. So I am changing my message to this:
"One and a half pounds is a very healthy loss. I am proud of myself for accomplishing this and here are all the things I did better than last week: I tracked my food every day except one, I drank 8 glasses of water on six out of seven days, I walked for at least 15 minutes or more on six of seven days, I ate at least four servings of veggies or fruit every day but two days. And all of this was accomplished during one of the most stressful work weeks that I've had since I started this job 12 years ago." There! Now I feel better! I am
My focus for this coming week is to improve on the things I missed last week. I just received Walk It Out and I'm going to pop that into the Wii as soon as I post this. I will try for 10K steps a day. I'm going to continue to reading "The Spark" book and, most of all, I'm going to get more active with my SP Teams and start becoming closer to the community.
