I love to Cricut!

One of my goals this year is to be more crafty. I feel like all of the strains and troubles of life sick away our creativity unless we fight back. And, it's nice to do something with your hands and to feel a sense of accomplishment when you are done.
So, with that being said. i have started meddling in the domestic arts... cooking baking, crafting. I have been making the most amazing cupcakes lately - red velvet, carrot cake, eggnog... Yum! I have even gone as far as to buy a decorating kit and attempting to make them fancy, with piped frosting and everything. Obviously not things that will help with my goal of getting to my goal weight. SO, I decided that I needed to start making things that do not involve me entering the kitchen.
For Christmas, I asked my mom for a cricut. For those of you that don't know what that it, it is a machine that kind of looks like a printer. You buy cartridges of different things and it is generally used for scrapbooking and making posters/signs. I have spent the past week gathering up supplies for it and felt it was finally time to make something.
I sat down last night and I made a super cute birthday card for a girl I work with. I am in charge of Birthdays for my unit... I bring in a treat, a card and coordinate the party. I thought it would be fun to make the card this time around. It was so easy and fun to make... not to mention relaxing! I can't wait to start making more things.
so far so good... off to a good start!
