Beginning measurements for 2011

I weighed in the morning at 146.2. I am very happy with that considering how much binge-ing I have done this month. But I am done with the scale for the month of January. It is put up and I will not step on it again until February 1st where I will weigh just to measure my progress. I am putting all thoughts of "the number on the scale" completely out of my head. My focus is on not binge-ing in the evenings and improving my running and also starting up strength training again. Even if I only lose a pound or two this month I will be happy as long as I keep the binge monster at bay and stay consistant with my exercise.

I was excited about these because I normally don't like to measure. I had forgotten that I had documented in SparkPeople measurements from March and June and I have lost several inches this year! Maybe I should measure every 3 months or so.
I am going to start the New Year off right by going for a long run this afternoon. A group of runners are meeting at the trail to do a trial run before the official half marathon on Jan. 22nd. I am going to go out there and join them. I was nervous (because I don't know what to expect and I am terrible shy), but the best news??? Hubby came home from work (he works nights) and said he would like to join me. Wha-at? He said he loves running on trails in the woods... he doesn't care for the track or treadmill or the road. He also loves the cold (temp. says 18 deg and it "feels like 8 deg.). YAY! SO happy! Now I will feel more comfortable and confident with him out there with me... plus I won't feel so lonely, lol.
