Ring in the New, but hold on to the Old!

A new year is quickly approaching and if you are anything like me, you welcome it with bittersweet emotion. I am glad that some of the ugly, unfortunate realities of yesteryear will soon be put to bed, but I also think back on the "old" traditions, wisdom and experiences that have brought me to where I am today and have helped to shape me into the person I have become (and, thankfully, I'm not fished, yet!) True, in many cases, those experiences have been gut wrenching and often downright painful, but looking back, at least for me, I now know there were lessons to be learned and messages that had to be revealed. My wish is that we all enter this new year filled with hope and promise, yet not forget the traditions, the lessons, the a-ha moments and the wisdom we've gained over the years which will allow us to both succeed and fail, love and let go, face up to those challenges when we need to, and just be those downright fabulous "SPARKERS" we were meant to be!
