I will never understand my cat.

Sunday, December 12, 2010

It has been a while since I got on my elliptical. I was surprised at how bearable and almost enjoyable it was. I of course grabbed my MP3 player and put on my workout playlist. My cat Kirby likes to sit in front of the machine where the leg "skis" (or whatever you call them) could smack him in the head. He has never let himself get hit...until today. I have known, that with the lack of intelligence my cat has, that him getting hit eventually was inevitable. He hardly noticed getting hit in the head, and he went on his merry way. He went and sat on the steps for a few minutes, and then came back to gamble with his fate for a little while longer!

Oh, and what is he doing right now? Doing an elaborate mating dance with our kitchen towel. And yes, he is neutered. Whatever........?!

An elaborate mating dance with the kitchen towel? I love it!

We have two cats--I call one our yoga cat because he's always stretching in yoga poses -- one day I got on the floor with him and he led me through three poses! It was only the second time I'd ever done yoga, but I think he was a good instructor...ha!

Your cat sounds cute! We have a dog that does some pretty confounded things too. Animals are so fun! Great job for getting on the Elliptical. I tried that a few weeks ago and found myself too uncoordinated to get in a full workout. They are very popular machines at our gym so I figure they must be pretty great once you get the hang of it. WTG!

My cat freaked out when I lay on my yoga mat to do some poses. I started with "legs up the wall" and Lydia sat by my head for a minute or two, then raced all over the living room with excitement.

I can so understand. Our 2 cats confound, confuse, entertain and madden us in matter of seconds.

I think we keep our animals endlessly entertained with the strange things we do as we go through our days. *grin*
