Sidelined Again

This afternoon I went to the dr because my right foot has been painful for the last couple of weeks. He said he thinks it is a stress fracture. I had an xray taken late, so I will find out tomorrow the results. If not, the nerves could be inflammed. He doesn't want me putting a lot of pressure on it. I can exercise but carefully. I am going to stay focused and continue being careful.

I read a SP article "1 Step Back, 2 Steps Forward" That has happened with me alot this year. "No matter how many obstacles you run into, what matters is that you’re able to overcome each of them, one at a time." I am not going to let this get me down.

This morning I exercised for 1.5 hours doing walking with Leslie
Sansone for 5 miles.

Wed 11/17

New Goals:

1) Blessings
I am blessed with our pastor and wife. They are our best friends. We have shared many times - both good and bad - together.

2) Low carb diet started on 11-15-10.

3) Exercise Variation
- emoticon

4) 10,000 steps a day -- and I will make sure I get that each day except Sun which will be a rest day. emoticon -- I am currently over 13,000 steps. I am not sure what will happen now that I have to be careful with walking.


5) 9+ glasses of water emoticon

6) Finally I don't want to gain at Thanksgiving!

Goals continued:

1. Stay within calorie limit -- emoticon
--track EVERYTHING on SP . emoticon

2. Daily exercise routine
-- Exercise before SP, then log it emoticon
-- knee physical therapy (3 times a week) --
--strength training a different set of muscles ea day emoticon

3. Blog daily, even if it is short - emoticon

Finally:
My original goal of reaching 229 by 11/20 seems unrealistic now since I have only lost 2.5 lbs this month. My new goal is 235 by 11/30.
9/25 = 242.5
10/2 = 241.75
10/12 = 240.5
10/19 = 239.75
11/2 = 240.
11/9 = 238.5
11/16 = 236.5

    I know the foot problem thing, I see my podiatrist Friday. Hang in there. You have a great attitude to not let it get you down and to still keep doing as much as you can. You will do great!

    You don't seem to be sidelined to me. You are pushing forward and that is emoticon . You just readjusted. I do Leslie Sansone's DVD's regularly myself. I especially like that some of them include toning with weights.

    I have pain in my foot also, from time to time because of a sprain about 10 years ago. I find that when I walk the pain does go away. I learned a long time ago that when we walk natural pain relievers are released in our body. So, I can walk through any pain in my foot or back (back surgery 87'). I actually found that when I don't exercise regularly everything wants to hurts emoticon .

    I am so proud of you!! emoticon You put me to shame with your goals, Girl! I am just horrible at that. Therein, probably lies the problem. My words are not positive emoticon . I must work on that! Keep up the good work emoticon
