Starting over

Monday, November 15, 2010

So today is the day. I haven't failed, but I haven't reached my goal either. I do not have control of myself. I just let whatever is in front of me go in my mouth. So today I am starting over. I am commiting to tracking EVERYTHING that goes in, eating clean and drinking water, lots of water. I get so frustrated with myself because I know I can do this, I know I can. But I am not. So starting right now I am and I will.

I am making a workout plan for every day the rest of this month and I will follow it.
I will make it through the holidays without gaining.
No unhealthy foods, one day at a time.

I am starting over, back to the basics...
Watch calories,
Exercise regularly,
Drink water, lots and lots of water.

Here is to a new life!

The key is to take it one day at a time. If we fall off the wagon today, we must get up, dust ourselves off and get back on the road to success. All we can do is take it one day at a time. The past is yesterday and cannot be changed. The future is tomorrow and can only be affected by what is done today.

Sometimes we have to reset the counter to Day 1. The key is to reset the counter. Over time we will have to reset the counter less and less. Before we know it we will have achieved a lifestyle change.

I feel like I pretty much have that conversation with myself once a week, haha. I'm the same way though, sometimes I feel like I have no control over what goes into my mouth! It's like I have no self discipline. It's very discouraging. But I agree, today is a new start.

And I am very worried about the holidays. Last year I gained 10 lbs over winter break. I'm making it a goal to just maintain over the holidays but knowing me I don't even know if I'm capable of doing that....
