Had a wonderful relaxing day. I wanted to sleep in, but was awake at 6:30am -- good 'ol bladder calling (lol). I couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up and read the Bible a little, had a light breakfast then I got on SP. It was so quiet in the house -- my husband and daughter was still sleeping. They got up @9:00. By 10:00 I was tired and had a little headache, so I decided to lay down for a little bit, well 4 hours later the phone rang and woke me up. I guess I needed the rest.
My hubby and I went on a one mile walk around the neighborhood. We started out briskly, but by the time we were getting close to home my knee was aching a bit. This is the first real walk we have taken since my surgery. All my other exercise "walks" have been in home with a DVD - just a little different.
Tonight we went to Gunther Toody's to celebrate my youngest daughter's 18th birthday. After eating, we all played a round on the Lord of the Rings pinball machine. It was fun. Then, we went over to my daughter's house and played Apples to Apples.
I didn't make the 10,000 steps today, but that is okay as it was a real rest day! I've completed the Atkins 2 week induction, I didn't always make it each day, but I think it accomplished what I wanted in giving me the push for losing. I'm still going to count my carbs and be careful.
I am blessed to have 3 wonderful sisters. We have grown closer through the years - especially in the last couple of years because we have had to pull together to help with my Mom and then my Dad. I am the oldest.

My original goal of reaching 229 by 11/20 seems unrealistic now since I have only lost 2.5 lbs this month. My new goal is 235 by 11/30.
9/25 = 242.5
10/2 = 241.75
10/12 = 240.5
10/19 = 239.75
11/2 = 240.
11/9 = 238.5
