Helping Move

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Today, my husband and I went to help by Dad move. We were expecting things to be packed and all we would have to do is move the boxes & furniture. Well....nothing was packed, my Dad's wife was heading to a baby shower and my job was to pack the kitchen with about 6-8 boxes. My husband helped empty the shed while I packed up. We did a couple of trips. When we got to the new house I would empty the boxes so we could take them back to the old house to repack.

We went to Captain D's for lunch. I was going to be good and have a chicken salad, but I caved in and had a 20 shrimp dinner which I shared with my hubby. So, tonight for supper I just had a Carbmaster yogurt and almonds for supper. I still stayed within my calorie range, but went over my carb count. But I'm okay with it. I still got over 10,000 steps.

New Goals:
1) Blessings
I am blessed to have a wonderful mother-in-law. She has always been encouraging and tells me almost everytime I talk to her that her son made an excellent choice. She lives 2000 miles away, so we don't see each other often. But, we try to stay in contact. We had a nice conversation today.

2) Atkins 2 week induction diet .

3) Exercise Variation

4) 10,000 steps a day -- and I will make sure I get that each day except Sun which will be a rest day.

5) 9+ glasses of water

6) Finally I don't want to gain at Thanksgiving!

Goals continued:

1. Stay within calorie limit -- emoticon
--track EVERYTHING on SP . emoticon

2. Daily exercise routine
-- Exercise before SP, then log it emoticon
-- knee physical therapy (3 times a week) --
--strength training a different set of muscles ea day emoticon carrying boxes count?!

3. Blog daily, even if it is short - emoticon

Finally:
My original goal of reaching 229 by 11/20 seems unrealistic now since I have only lost 2.5 lbs this month. My new goal is 235 by 11/30.
9/25 = 242.5
10/2 = 241.75
10/12 = 240.5
10/19 = 239.75
11/2 = 240.
11/9 = 238.5

Carrie - I admire your positive attitude w/ helping your father; I know this is so hard! If negativity creeps in, you sure don't show it to us! God will honor your choices to do what you can to help your father, and be kind to his new wife.
You are really on track with your fitness goals -- keep it up! Sending emoticon your way - have a great week!

Look at your weight dropping each week - a big High Five for you! That is wonderful. I need to make my weight go down like that, too. Your dad and his wife must be elderly? Walking into that situation would make anyone's head spin. You are a very giving person - just don't let people take advantage of you. emoticon
