hey everyone! my blogs are published every wednesday over on the that's fit website. my latest blog was very difficult for me to write, but it was one that i needed to write for myself to reflect on a very emotional moment that helped lead to my healthy journey:

    First of all, your pic on the blog is awesome!!! How beautiful you are, and you are going to be fabulous in that bridesmaid dress! I'm usually ravenous after a strenuous workout if I haven't had a good balance of complex carbs and protein before the workout. Then I follow up with a lot of water and an apple afterward. It seems to help me, but everyone is different. I finally found the perfect thing for me - one slice high fiber whole grain bread with PB before and the apple and water afterward!

    Funny thing is I find my appetite is actually less after I go to the gym. I always have a small snack before I go, like nuts and raisins. This keeps my blood sugar from dropping from the exercise.

    I understand your frustrations. Have you ever tried having a protein shake before leaving the gym? It gives you the extra protein you need after working out and some healthier calories. That may help with the snacking when you get home. Or just get rid of that junk food and eat some freggies/yogurt. There are plenty of GOOD things out there to snack on. You can do this, and Im sure you will make a beautiful bridesmaid!!!!
