And the Gingerbread man said "eat me!!!!"

Saturday, October 02, 2010

Yesterday was the first day I was really nervous about tracking my food. You see, it was a stressful day at work. When I walked into the lounge and saw a bag of chocolate sitting there, I thought "what the heck." After all, I had a hurting heart that needed soothing! You have to understand, it wasn't an ordinary bag of chocolate, it had Lindt truffles in it! I knew someone was trying to sabotage me! I kept looking at the bag, and I know from the bottom of my heart that one of those truffles spoke to me. I thought the gingerbread man from Shrek was hiding in the bag because it said "eat me!" And then to make matters worse, it blew me a raspberry! I'm not one to back down from a dare, so I ate it. Not just one, but five. Chocolate hadn't crossed my lips from some time, so I beat myself up, but only a little. When I did track my food last night, I added in my truffles. I was pleased to find it wasn't as bad as I expected. My fat intake was over, but I wasn't surprised. I've decided that was yesterday. Its done. Its gone. Today is the now. I know that my "slip" yesterday won't cause me to lose all my forward progress. I'm OK!!!!

very good hon! I know the feeling. Have you ever had a craving so bad that you tasted it without eating it? That happened to me last night after the time i promised my self that i wouldnt eat. So i made the extra attempt drove out to the store got a bag of funions and ate the whole thing knowing i could have walked but i was sooo lazy. I added it in for the day and luckily i hadnt had that many calories but it was still a habit that i would not want to repeat. So hon you arent alone. Keep strong and remember what someone told me. Take it one day at a time if you plan too far ahead it will get too overwheling.:)
