getting the hang of it

I'm beginning to feel more comfortable with my new routine of tracking and doing sparkpoint activites. I also took a fairly short walk with the poodles today, so that's a start on my walking plan. It wasn't much at all, but at least I did it and that will make it easier to do it again. Baby steps. I'm not in a race to see how fast I can lose weight. Instead, I want to get back in the habit of making healthy choices and regular activity, and to do it enough to lose weight gradually. Then I can find a way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I'm not really thinking of that now though. I'm concentrating on meeting the nutritional guidelines SP gave me and creating a schedule for my life that will work, now that I have a change in what I'm doing and when. I actually seem to have a bit more free time, and for sure more time at home. I'm pretty happy about that! emoticon

    We just gotta make a start and choose to start again every day. Go girl! LOVE that you're getting out the door. I bet your dogs will be on you every day now to get out! My dog was driving me crazy for walks all day long, so I started trying to go the at the same time most days-- now she's calm except at walk time.

    That's the right attitude. Take one step at a time. When we try to do to much in one go we set ourselves up to fail.

    It really is one day at a time, and getting back into a healthy lifestyle is sure the best place to start. I find that my little dog, really is a good motivator to get me outdoors and walking again. Best of Luck and remember everyone works at their own pace, this is not a race, it's a healthy lifestyle change.

    that's it one step at a time and time is on my side, yep i like that it is a learning situation we have to get in the habit of exercising and eating healthy for our bodies, you seem to be on the right track congratulations on taking the first step keep up the good work emoticon emoticon
