Early to bed, Early to rise...

So my meeting with DH went well and we had a plan to move our schedules around and tackle the gym first thing this morning instead of after work. Well, that went a little weird... First of all, I woke up at 4am. Threw everything off kilter & I ended up leaving an hour later.

So we hit the circuits where I could focus on my (suddenly) sagging arms (this is new to me - I really need to get focused here), and then I jumped on the eliptical instead of my usual bike for cardio. I am big on dancing, so I cranked up the Pandora (my favorite station is set from the 90's group "The Real McCoy" - I LOVE THEM!!) and I went with the beat for about 15 minutes full-powered, when I suddenly got a sick feeling (I had felt a little weird when I got up & I think I might have over-done it).

I jumped off and got some water, felt dizzy & told DH I needed to go home. So much for "changing it up", but I am prepared to try it again tomorrow.

    Yes, I was holding the handles, but I think I'm coming down with something :( I was feeling a little ill before we left.

    Were you holding the handles on the eliptical so it gave you a pulse/blood pressure readout? Sounds like you might have overdone it. I always heard that it is better to get to max on the heart rate, drop it back to normal and then go hard until up to max and repeat the up and down process.
