2 minutes really is a lot! When I began training to run, I couldn't make it one minute. I hope you do well with this. I was one of those people who never ran, never could - not even as a kid - but now I do.

I recently discovered smoothies myself. I love 'em!

I started running (slow jogging really) training 6 or so weeks ago. I used this article I found on SP

Basically, you start off slow only running for 1 minute at a time for the first week. That first run was so hard! A minute felt like forever (and this coming from someone that can do 30+ mins on the elliptical). After I did the four weeks I was able to jog on the treadmill for 40 minutes straight (but I'm super slow)! It definitely helps to ease into it slowly. Repeat weeks if you need to.

    Good luck!

    Hey there. Great goal setting.

I don't know if you are willing to try this, but I don't care for yogurt either and I love it like this.

I take my yogurt and put it in a bowl. I use the fresh peanut butter that you can get from whole foods where it grinds the nuts and makes your PB. I don't know what that thing is called. Anyway, I take 1 Tbsp of PB & stir and stir and stir and stir until it's completely mixed up in the yogurt. Holy cow, it is so good. It tastes like a PB ice cream treat.

Something is up with my kids stomach too. He's in 2nd grade now and since Kinder he has been sick. He got to a point recently where for about a month he wouldn't eat but the equivelant of one meal throughout the day. Our dr ran a ton of tests on him. We should have results this week or early next week. I'm hoping he just has some serious food allergies. We already know he's allergic to lactose, so we weaned him off that a couple of years ago. Our dr suspects he has celiac disease which is a gluten allergy. She went ahead and ran a complete food allergy panel on him. The list of what they test for is incredible. I almost want to do one on myself to see what it says.

Gosh 2 minutes of running would probably put me in the hospital! LOL. You are setting some great goals for yourself.
Maybe you can sneak a little yogurt (plain) into your daughters smoothie? It sure helps with my issues! I never liked it either...ever. But I have gotten used to it and I can manage the yoplait light THICK (hate the runny stuff).
    Good luck!

I think that doing a 5k in the next 5 years is a great goal for you - I bet you will find that you can do it quicker! I understand that 2 minutes running is hard - I have never enjoyed running like some others do - but it is a great goal to work toward!

Im having a hard time watching you blogs at work because of your new background - it's beautiful - but Im afraid that someone will walk in and wonder what Im looking at! I can always wait till I get home to watch it.

    How did your hike/run/walk go?

You can DEFINITELY do a 5k! Anyone can run, seriously, you just have to make sure your body can handle it. So, to go into it gradually is the best idea.

Ah, yes, the IBS is tough, and I'm sure that it is very tough for your daughter at school. Mine only developed since I graduated, but it's never fun when you are in public and you suddenly feel sick.

I also think that ginger is a miracle cure for IBS, so I'm not sure if she would like any food cooked with ginger in it.

Hooray, enjoy your hike; good to see you vlogging as always!
