Long Time NO See

Saturday, August 21, 2010

So I had a summer of surprises and challenges which push me back into my old habits of seeking refuge and happiness in food and reality t.v. Needless to say not great food choices and not nearly enough gym time. So I went back to one of my favorite loves open mic and it started me thinking about really getting my performance together for the September shows and when I was webcamming myself I really saw what other people see. Not like the image of me in my ind and I was sad. I didn't like person I feel I am. I think because I could see myself and hear my voice it was more effective than a mirror. I was shocked cause look like the me see in mind or my dreams. So I decided to commit to exercise once again. Daily exercise if only for 10 minutes. I need to babystep myself so I don't sabotage myself. So I plan to video once a week with weight and other interesting tidbits of life.

Reality checks are a great form of motivation. I saw a picture of myself and realized that THAT was what I looked like to everyone else. I then started my weight loss journey and to this day I still keep that picture of me to remind me of who i never want to be. It hangs on my fridge when I need motivation to not graze all day or it hangs in my car to keep me from grabbing take out...whatever motivates you keep it up because it's the little things that help us out along the way.
