I'm making it and staying on track--yea!!!

Well, I am doing it. Through much self talk and determination I am dropping some pounds. The secret has been discipline and consistency. I set up my spark goals, have kept track of all my food (even on a few bad days where I knew I went over--but I made myself put down what I ate anyway so I could visually SEE what it amounted to) and have been diligent with the fitness minutes. It is paying off-as I knew it would-and I am so HAPPY! I've dropped 15 pounds but more importantly I FEEL better. I take my morning walk first thing so it's part of my day and I'm up to 5 days a wk. It's been a blessing to have a walking partner in my neighbor. She joined me about 3 wks ago (I've been at it for 2 1/2 months) and it is so much more pleasant and enjoyable and motivating to have a walking buddy. (besides my ever faithful dog who's ready willing and able anytime). And I find it so funny how much a spark award will motivate you. I think about the "consistency award" or the "fitness minutes award" and on a day I'm really busy or lacking a tad of "get up and go" that will motivate me to stay on target and do what I need to do to get the award. It really works. So, if I can do it, anybody can. So ever onward, I CAN do this.
