What kind of an idiot ...

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

enters a day of meals like this one:

Breakfast, Myoplex shake and an apple
Lunch, Orange roughy, green beans, and a small fruit salad
Snack, small fat-free yogurt
Dinner, Waffle fries, Diet Pepsi, and a Chunky

There's that old expression about pounding your head against a wall, because it feels so good when you stop. But days like that one are far too frequent in my world. I guess a psychiatrist would tell me that doing this to myself must be working for me on some level ... Anybody else out there enjoy shooting themselves in the foot?

I've found that the only way I can moderate my sugar and starch/refined carbs intake was to cut them out altogether. If I even start, I'm dead.

Delish! Sounds like one of my eating plans in the last couple of weeks! Yesterday - watermelon and bagel for breakfast - veggies and small piece of chicken for lunch - rice and salmon for dinner - followed up by THREE pillsbury slice and bake cookies. Sigh....

It can happen, and it does happen - probably to most of us. I think writing it down is a good idea - a little incentive to do a fix-it tomorrow.

Ann, sometimes, you just have to live. Waffle fries. Yummy. I love 'em. Diet Pepsi...well, I think soda is poison and haven't drank any in nearly 4 years. Chunky! I haven't had one of those in so long!

I have to tell you Ann, I went to a party on Saturday. I went "hog" wild. Cake, brownies, jello, pudding, you name it, I ate it. 3 slices of pizza, the sky was the limit. I'm back on track now. The key is not to let one meal or one binge knock you off your plan. Shooting yourself in the foot with a bee bee hurts a lot less than shooting yourself in the foot with a 357 magnum. emoticon

Uh! of course we are love!!! I had 4 cookies for dinner. then I had my dinner LOL! Some days are just like that.

I used to do that when I quit smoking too. I would think, well, I've gone this long without smoking, I deserve a smoke HAHAHAHA!!!! How stupid that was LOL. but I finally did quit for good and I know if we keep plugging along, we will do better on our eating too!

I'm my own worst enemy too!! Ill go the whole day going absolutely fabulous, then at 8pm ill decide i "deserve" a snack for doing so well... and then eat something that blows the day out of th water. What i really deserve is a pat on the back and a smaller number on the scale the next morning!!
