Day One----again

First day of restarting my better life habits. I did well with the exception of eating breakfast later than I should have because we didn't have the groceries yet.
I have a feeling this might be a bigger challenge than I had first anticipated. My husband is not happy with all the food choices I have chosen so far, and poor him has to eat what I eat because he's too lazy to cook for himself.

I do have a concern though, as my husband brought up, isn't the biggest meal of the day suppose to be breakfast? According to my meal plan, all the meals are pretty much evenly spread out, calorie wise.

As for activity level, I have to be very careful with what I do, too much and I will pay for it. So just going grocery shopping, putting away the groceries and preparing 2 meals was about all I could handle.

Thanks for all comments everyone! Since this post, my husband has grown to like mostly what I have been making and he has been pitching in too! What a big surprise to me!
As you can see from my ticker, I did manage to lose 5 pounds the first week, not so bad, I am on the right track. I just hope I can keep shedding the pounds, as I do have a tendency to plateau after 15-20 pounds, and exercise is not an easy thing for me.

Lunch tends to be my largest meal of the day. I get up REALLY early, and I can't choke down too much that early in the morning. So, when I get off work... I generally eat a large lunch (between 1030 and 1130ish).

As far as the hubby not liking the food you're preparing.... ask him to help you make something he likes. Then he can see the extra work firsthand. Otherwise, my opinion is that he can eat what you fix and not complain. LOL

Well, your husband has two choices, as I see it. He can learn to enjoy the healthy meals you're cooking, or he can learn to cook a few easy dishes for himself.

I have had to deal with the "husband needs dinner" thing. I will tell you my experience, maybe it will help you. When I make something for him that I can't eat, its real difficult for me. On the other hand, when I dont cook for him because I am eating differently, I feel worse. I deprive him of a home cooked meal and I deprive myself of the joy I get from giving that to him. So I look for a balance, cook a meal and he can have it two or 3 nights for dinner. Maybe you can find a balance.

I can relate to this problem. My DH was the same way but over the past year, he has come around an likes what I cook. He also has picked up some of the cooking himself. We are always looking for new reciepes to try. Good luck.

Be sure you don't go grocery shopping hungry--you'll end up buying things you'll regret.

Ad you said, your husband is too lazy to cook for himself. Therefore, him not having food he likes is HIS problem, not yours. That jing said, I know it's not easy! Good luck!
