Been a slacker!

I have slacked this past month in my consistency of being on The Spark. I have been getting in my daily exercise and have felt pretty good about my eating. Still working on the Night Time overeating. Hmmmm one day I wish I could say I had conquored that bad habit. Appreciate a couple of Spark friends that seem to care enoughto bring me back.

Today I am going to track my nutrition and exercise and will eat no more than 200 calories after my night time meal. I wish I could say that I would not eat anything but I have to be realistic.

    Thanks for posting some encouragement on my blog. Good luck with getting back on track. My only trick with nighttime eating is telling myself that the Kitchen is closed at 7:00 pm. I don't even try to just eat healthy snacks, I just say no eating after 7. It has worked most days. have a great day.

    It is never a perfect world. The trick (I think you have found) is to realize that and make adjustments to incorporate what you know is your reality.

    It's so good to hear from you, Katie! Now...cut yourself some slack. We all (yes, I'm sure it's 'all') have the urge to snack at night. I don't think that's a bad thing if it's done early enough and you allow the amount of calories into your daily planning. I really like to have a Skinny Cow ice cream bar in the evening and I know that it is 100 calories so I see where I can cut that out through the day so that I can really enjoy that snack at night. Sometimes, I eat a bowl of cereal, too. Special K offers a nice variety for taste and is low in calories. We are not super-human and we do snack, so we just have to snack wisely...and ENJOY!!!

    I used to have problems with night-time eating as well, and still do every once in a while. I started brushing my teeth a little while after eating supper so it "forced" me not to eat because I didn't want to have to brush them again! It's a silly thing but maybe it would help a little :-)

    Spark is like hotel 8 they say "we will leave the light on for you". Sounds like you've been pretty good.
