Stomach Feels SO Much Better

Day three of eating well. I had Carnation Instant Breakfast for breakfast. Then we went on an outing to a scrapbooking store and ended up at McDonalds. I picked out the Aungus burger with mushroom and swiss cheese and a Diet Coke. I was very hungy at this point. I ate until I was satisfied and then quit. Got home and had to rest. Woke up and had yogurt for supper. As I was walking around I noticed how great my stomach feels. It doesn't feel bloated to exploding anymore! I feel like I lost 10 lbs! What a great feeling.
Also had a revelation yesterday. I've been working at trying to feel good about myself so that I can lose weight, but have not had any success. Well, I noticed that as soon as I started on this journey of weight loss I felt good about myself! I suppose it is self-love, pride, self-acceptance whatever you want to call it, but it feels good. And in keeping with my religious upbringing of "if anything feels good it is wrong", I thought I should stop it immediately. But as I am breaking with my very strict and what I think are erroneous religious views, I decided that this is a good thing and I am going to continue thinking and feeling this way.
I'm learning that feeling good about yourself is very important, not just in the looks department but on the inside too; feeling good about the way you are living your life, even if you have not achieved the goals you have set for yourself yet. If you know you are working toward those goals then you can feel good about yourself because it is now a part of who you are. I couldn't feel good about myself until I took the first step and I thought I wouldn't feel good about myself until I reached my goal weight. But that isn't how it is turning out. I feel good about myself right now every day I eat well.
