Furniture Shopping... for Lake House!
Wednesday, July 21, 2010
Hi, everyone. Yes, we our buying a lake house with some friends! We take possession of it on Friday. We are really excited and can't wait to spend some time out at the lake.
The "boys" (our husbands) bought the house, a boat, and 2 jet skis. We "girls" (the other wife, myself, and my dd) were in charge of furnishing the house. So, today we went on a major shopping trip... 5 hours at the furniture store! Whew! We picked out furniture for the dining room, 2 living rooms, and a pair of bunk beds for the kids. We just bought mattresses & frames for our bedrooms for now. Earlier this week we went on separate shopping trips to buy things like dishes, pots & pans, etc.
I'm having a lot of fun, but am tired! As I mentioned on my feed, I was too tired to do a workout this morning... and I'm still too tired! I think I need a day off, though. I haven't had one in about 10 days and I had a record-breaking calorie-burning day yesterday. Oh, and yesterday was my 5:15 am morning to run before hubby had to go to work! With all of that and the shopping... well, I'm just beat!
Tomorrow I do C25K W5D1. I don't think that'll be too hard... except getting up at 5:15 again. Oh, and one of our dogs has decided she needs to get up and go outside every night again lately. And, last night she got me up twice! Between that and other things, I'm waking up at least 5-10 times a night! I am NOT getting enough sleep.
Well, I hope to have a good workout tomorrow to make up for today. I have my morning run and I'll be doing weights (an hour) later in the day. On Friday we head to the lake house so I hope to get some exercise in early. I'm hoping to run from the house (in new territory!) on Saturday morning. It's going to be weird and hard to fit in my exercise with this new house. My dd and I really enjoyed zumba last Saturday and that is out. But, we'll be staying outside and staying active!
My dd is begging me to get in the pool but it is starting to rain and thunder so I'd better get her out!
