Week 15: Detailed Exercise Log

I'm a little late posting this...I have been struggling to get back into the swing of things, but I think I am finally back!

Weeks 13 and 14... I went on vacation, and unfortunately I can not say that I exceeded my exercise goal of 400+minutes/wk AGAIN...but I can say that I have learned that stopping all exercise (workouts) for any length of time is not a smart idea...I really should have done something...both hotels we stayed at had gyms...letting myself believe that it was no big deal if I went and worked out because I was doing a lot of walking was just an easy out for me, and I won't make that mistake again! This week my goal is again 400+ minutes and 20 or more miles...and I am striving to again do an aerobic workout 2x/day, at least 4 days this week. I also plan on trying out a Zumba class this week...I can't wait! Although I really had planned on doing it this week, I am going to be starting my next phase of P90X next week.

7/18: 45 minutes elliptical (3 miles) (300 calories)
7/19: DID NOTHING...trying to get my butt in gear, but not going so well!
7/20: 30 minutes elliptical (2 miles) (183 calories)
7/20: 50 minutes elliptical (3.3 miles) (388 calories)
7/21: 15 minute jog (9:45 minute mile!) (137 calories)
7/21: 47 minute elliptical (3 miles) (396 calories)

    you are my hero.... I just would go out and walk in the morning.
    The Part of LA where I was staying had lots of interesting parks including the Tar pits.
    There was also a pretty little park next to the Grove and Farmers Market which are tourist attractions there. I liked talking to my dad and son every day while walking the neighborhood between 3rd and Beverly.
    But you are farther ahead of where I am.
    I only gained two pounds because hubby and I shared our meals.
    And I did over 10,000 steps every day but one.
    I think I will be at my ticker weight tomorrow and off to the races by Saturday.

    Yep, it's o.k. to take time off; but it does take time to get back where you were. You will get there! I always have to ease back in; even if I've exercised while away but differently. Glad you're back! emoticon

    It's really challenging to get ourselves back on track after vacation... you CAN do this! Good plan here... give yourself a pat on the back for the things you've done right!
