Eat your greens!

Ate more salads last week then usual and it really seemed to help with the weight loss.

We know it works to eat more veggies and fruit and less bready carbs.

I'll be concentrating on doing this EACH day this week...even when staying two nights away from home at my Mom's house. That won't be so easy but I'll get 'er done.

    I'll be thinking od you while I eat my veggies this week. Having a hard time finding the desire to eat them.

    I've been sneaking greens and other veggies (carrots, beets, kale, cabbage) into fruit smoothies lately. Grind 'em up in the amazing VitaMix and no one knows they're eating super greens!!! Got the idea from Green Smoothie Girl (you can google her). Can't believe the fiber boost, either.

    Last night I made a bag of baby spinach with olive oil, garlic, and S & P to have with a simple dinner of fish and salad and French bread. It was a reminder of how much I enjoy greens, as was your post!

    I love greens. We recently tried broccoli rabe which was great. We made a great dish with the broccoli rabe, white beans, and whole wheat pasta. I want to try some others now like swiss chard.

    carbohydrates are still important after your workout. they help in recovery. keep up with the fruits and veggies and you are correct they do help with the weight loss.
