I went out today for a nice walk. I am amazed just how much I have improved in my walking. I walked for 90 min. and walking 6 miles. A year ago when I started to walk I could not make it half a mile. I had such a problem just getting my feet right. I had to find the sneakers that would not give me blisters. Plus even the right socks that would not fall or give me blisters or roll small things make a great difference in the success of your walk. I had no idea it would be so hard to just get it all right. I had to stop and heal many times along the way. The blisters were so bad. It feels good to be able to walk and feel strong and energetic and enjoy the time out. My speed has improved and I learn this by how I have to add more distance when walking to still walk the same amount of time.
Who knew learning to walk would be such an experience. But it has made the walk I do now so appreciated and enjoyable.
