Pics of FLOWERS with my new camera, Blog #1

I have lots of flowers in my yard. Some years I spend allot of time working on the beds and other years not so much.
Here are a few I have:

Bigger picture of this climbing rose. I planted it 15 yrs ago with one bush on each side of the arch but as you can see the one on the left thrived and the one on the right... fizzled out! LOL

Here are a few more as you walk through my yard:

This rose is more of an orange color:

This is my "wildrose" my husband dug up over 10 yrs ago and planted in my yard.

Here are some of my iris's. This peach one or salmon colored is my favorite. Funny story behind this color is that when we moved here in 1994 these were here. The old widow lady that we moved out of here wanted a start of them at her new house. I gave her some and then she kept showing up and digging up more. There would be holes where she dug up more each day LOL she was stealing my flowers! I was only left with a couple of them... but over the years they have multiplied, thank goodness.

I have tons of these lilies...bet you do too!

This is a "wild daisy" I did not plant... just showed up ... See the fly on the flower!

This is my Clematis I planted many years ago... I love these!

These "Hollyhocks" are from seeds from my Mom over 10 yrs ago... they come up everywhere each year and I have to move them so we don't mow them down!

PS did you see the "cobweb" on that last hollyhock picture?

I have lots more pictures I will share with you soon of more flowers!

Hope you enjoyed these!..

On a side note how is JULY going for you guys! Are you making the BEST of IT??

    Very beautiful!What zone are you?
    I miss my garden!
It's so humid here and there's no shade at all so what plants I do have wilt from the heat and direct sun. If we had been assigned the unit on the other side of the duplex we're in, we would have afternoon shade provided by the house!

Wow, these are beautiful!!! While I was away in Europe, apparently we had a major heat wave here on the east coast and so all of our flowers in our yard were scorched and are now dead :( So sad because i planted a beautiful rose bush for my son and it's dead :(

Lovely photos. I can't get irises to flower in my garden apart from the ones in the pond - love the peachy one. My clematis is just about to pop, and the roses are doing well. Gardens are special places, and I too enjoy plants which have a personal history.
    Good luck with your goals!

Lovely garden pictures. I can see why she wants to steal the peach iris! Pity they don't flower longer.

Such a wild and lovely garden.. I plant hollyhocks too but they always seem to get attacked by some kind of rust. Any tricks you can share? And your iris are gorgeous!

    Thanks for the walk :)

Wow, it never accrued to me to miss my Mom's flower garden until I looked through these... it sure brought back memories ANDD ..... wonder if I could convince the new owners to give me some clippings...lol! emoticon They've lived there for ten years now, but I still drive by to see the old yard with my Mom's big Pine tree my step-dad had given her as a wedding present and then the Cottonwood my niece dug up a mile long root so she could plant it in their front yard so many, many years ago. Having said all that, I did notice her rose bushes are still there, as are the big blooms called Peonies [you said]??? Thanks for the trip down memory lane and who knows, maybe one of these day's I can get a few clippings and place them on my Mom's grave...that would be so neat! emoticon
