A Man Used My Bike Rack for His Coffee Table

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Couldn't believe how proud this man was of using my bike rack for his coffee and water. That was after he asked my boyfriend and I if he could take one of the chairs from the table where we were sitting. He told us, "I need to be in the sun".

Thanks for all the great comments!

Just to clarify, though, he did not ask me if he could use my bike rack as his coffee table. He asked my boyfriend and I if he could take the empty chair from the table where we were sitting, which we gladly said yes to.

We were sitting very close by our bikes. (The video is taken from where we were sitting.) He did NOT ask if he could use my bike rack for his coffee and water. He probably thought our bikes belonged to someone sitting inside the coffeehouse.

I laughed out loud when I read NURSE4HEROES's comment "Go to his house and use his coffee table as a bike rack."!!!

I understand his needing the sun. Maybe he has a circadian rythm disorder like I do (only I use a SAD light) cause I don't do well in the sun with my MS).

As long as he asked, that means you had a choice to say "No", and since you gave permission I see no problem in it.

as long as a person asks I would have no worries saying yes.. when people just do stuff taking it for granted without asking- I get anti-social..

No matter what you say about this fellow it is apparent that he makes himself at home where ever he might be.

What did he say to you when you came upon him using your bike rack? I hope he was apologetic and polite or ashamed and funny.
