This may sound super weird, but do ya wanna know my favorite thing about dieting? How good everything tastes.
When I'm counting every calorie, not snacking mindlessly, and am aware of my real hunger, every bite has so much flavor. I had enough calories left over tonight for a couple of fresh baked cookies, but I don't even want them. First of all, I'm not hungry. Second, my dinner was so full of flavor (except for the steamed carrots. How did I mess up those?) that I'm satisfied.
I'm not saying that in 2 nights (Thursday= chocolate treat night) I will be all like, "Oh, my low-fat shrimp scampi was so delicious that chocolate's stupid," because that would NEVER, EVER happen. I'm just saying that I'm even more looking forward to chocolate treat night because it's going to taste even better than it did last week!
