Week One

I am so happy! After one week, I tried to stick to the healthier choices when it came to eating. I admit that I had some bad days as far as sticking with it 100% of the time. I have a half of a pizza one night for supper (bad idea). But I am glad to report that I have been making myself be more active during the day. I am intentionally walking around the block every day. I live in the counrty so my block is 2.3 miles around. I am thinking of doing it twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I confess that I did not get my walk in every day but I am working my way up to a daily lifestyle change. Right now I am making baby steps that are not consistent but they will be as I work on it day to day. There has also been a lot of rain lately so I could not walk. Thank you to all who have been supportive this week! Thank you to Jackie my new SparkPeople Buddy. And I still can never for get my first SparkPeople buddy AngelCowboy1. As I begin this week coming up, I will be preparing to go to Wisconsin and to Iowa on family visits. My neice is getting married in Wisconsin and my father-in-law lives in Iowa and I am going to see him for father's day. These family events tend to be eating events so say an extra prayer for me that I won't go crazy and eat everything in site but will continue to be strong and make better choices.
